The Minister Of Labor And Social Affair Has Officially Opened The First Phase Of Human Resource Audit For the Somali Civil Servant.

Two days meeting organized by the ministry of labor and social affairs were conducted in Mogadishu. The meeting was held in Royal Place Hotel – Mogadishu city on February 12-2-2018 beginning from 8:00 o’clock in the morning to 16:30 o’clock in the afternoon.  A total of 150 participants attended the meeting including ministries, Parliament members, Somali General Auditor and members from Prime Minister Office.

The meeting was facilitated by the Director General of the ministry of labor and social Affairs Mr. Mohamed Adde Muktar by requesting from one of the participants to begin the meeting with a word of prayer.

After the prayer was read the director General (DG) had warmly welcomed the ministry of labor and Social Affairs and handover the microphone for official opening of the meeting after that the ministry warmly welcomed the participants to the meeting and highlighted the importance of the meeting by stating that this meeting is very crucial since the ministry of labor and Somali civil servant technical committee are planning to conduct Human Resource Audit (HR) which its aim headcount and register all the civil servant staff of the Somali Federal Government in order to get a proper and accurate payroll data that translates all the civil servant staff.

In addition to that the ministry of labor and social affairs appreciated how the members attended the meeting and noted that he was glad to see 150 Members from government institutions taking part in such meeting. He further thanked all the participants for their commitment and dedication to arrive the meeting and highlighted that the meeting is very important for the civil servant staff.

Meanwhile the ministry of labor and social affairs had strongly shared the all the members from the government institutions how it’s important the headcount and registration of the civil servant as to know the exact figure of the civil servant staff Hon. Salah also stated the main responsibility of the ministry of labor and social affairs is to handle government staff with the help of Somali National Civil Servant Committee.

After more discussion of the meeting the director General of the ministry Mr. Mohamed Adde Muktar had briefly explained and elaborated the significant of HR Audit since it’s important to make headcount of the Somali Civil servant and fully register in order to have reliable data that translates Somali Civil servant staff, he also mentioned the main purpose of the two day meeting was to exchange ideas and share information’s towards the Human Resource Audit and its headcount and registration of the civil servant staff.

As continued the meeting the Technical Committee of the Civil servant staff of the Somali Government has presented the methodology and strategy to implement Human Resource Audit in order to produce effective and correct payroll of the civil servant staff.
