Concluded the first phase of the Civil Service Workers’ headcount

The Director General of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, who gave a special interview to the Ministry of Labor, said that he was very happy about the headcount of the civil service of the government agencies because it was the first time to conduct civil servants headcount since the downfall of the of the Central Government of Somalia. The second phase of the complete evaluation will soon be launched.

“It is the first time that the headcount was exercised on the civil servant government staff. the exercise was about: The number of the staff, the capacity/quality of the staff, education background, their trainings and their titles / ranks” said Mohamed Adde Mukhtar.

The Director General said that the current number of government agencies that has undergone the current exercise of the headcount reaches 49 agencies and the second part of this exercise will determine the exact number of the civil servants.

He also noted that the second phase which is due to start would be to find out ways on classifying the pension, the sick and those who need to improve their knowledge and skills.
