Ministry of labor and social affairs and Ministry of woman and Human right development in collaboration the development of the people with special needs, held consultative meeting which was  concerning about how people with special needs can take part the government institutions and private sectors. The meeting was participated 30 members from different sectors of Somali disability. The two ministries held the meeting hotel Hayad in Mogadishu.

The meeting took a period of one day, after the two ministries in support of international organizations who are determined of the issue of disabilities has given official invitation to representative of people with disabilities residing in Mogadishu, so that they can give brilliant views in how they would actively take part or engaged in government activities including private sectors.

The director for department of the welfare of disabilities in MOLSA Mr. Omar Husein Aliyow has opened up the meeting, and presented a speech which they admired all the participants and he said we have invited this event (meeting) and attended top officials from different depart of the government like, the general Director of the social affairs from the prime minister’s office, Mss. Maryan Adan Amin, the director general of the ministry of woman and Human Right Development Mr. Ahmed Abdi Burile, Somali national Youth  and other origination those are involve issues related with people with special needs (disabilities) who are very  essential for them to attend this consultative meeting to discuss how the people with special needs can take part the government activities including private sectors. During the meeting it was agreed upon simultaneous consultative meeting like these and this was said by Mr. Omar Husein Ibrow.

As well, Madam Maryan Aden Amin who is the director of Social Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somlia made a strong contribution in this meeting whose objective was to create an inclusive system for the people with disabilities and other special needs.

The participants representing the people with disabilities strongly debated on the issues concerning/affecting the people with disabilities in Somalia. In this meeting, it was spearheaded about the participation of government institutions and other private institutions in supporting the people with disabilities.

After a lengthy debate, it was concluded that the dibble people should give their concerns and views in written form so that at the final they can be noted or clear stated that the rights to participation by the people with disability.

Finally, the meeting was closed by the director of Human Rights in the MoWHRD Ahmed Abdi Borrile and has highlighted to make the opinion towards the development of the people with disability.
