INTRODUCTION

 Staff Training and Retaining Department Office

 Training Department Office always works to fulfill the obligations of work to do in training and retraining workers that and indeed workers in a particular trade to the quality and knowledge to promote and achieve the objectives of the Ministry’s initiatives and to find an execute staff enough for job duties and to achieve self-sufficiency rather than work each side.

Workers Training and Retraining Department recently speed up its effort to train all Somali Civil Society in Banadir Region such as youth, women, journalists and students of the universities – particularly and generally.

MINISTRY OF LABOR & SOCIAL AFFAIRS TOGETHER WITH “ILO” OPENED A MARKET WORK SURVEYINIG TRAINING FOR SOMALI YOUTH

 

ILO Organization is one of the institutions collaborates with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs held a Training to enhance the knowledge  Market Work Surveying the three days lasting training was held for the Somali Youth from the in Mogadishu.

THE TRAINING PARTICIPANTS OF THE FOREIGN WORKERS ACT HELD BY“ILO” ORGANIZATION IN THE MINISTRY OF LABOR & SOCIAL AFFAIRS HOLE. 

 

The training attended youth from different regions and villages of the country and it was organized by the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs (MOLSA), International Labor Organizations (ILO) and African Development Trust (ADT).

Opening training scene Speaking Najma Ismail from the ILO Organization and including her speech was:

“The process is that the community in local and regional developments market work surveying, help develop capacity and services to more people live here, “I hope that this project will be successful, the aim is how we teach our first youth market work surveying skills will be developed”

Mubashir Mohamed Ahmed from the African Development Trust “ADT” also opening ceremony has said:

 

“This training is a great help to job creation, is a project to help a person learn his business, unemployment in the country many young people do not have access to training for professional development, we hope that the education you learn here will help you survey the labor market”.

 

Director of the Department of Common Relations and Communication of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Abdirashid Abdullahi Haider, who formally opened the ceremony with the issues of training said from his part:

 

“ This training is a good way to know from your job, you have to you have to keep in heart and apply it and you have to provide what you learned from here to other youth of the country”

The training is in charge of Mr. Martin Mati who was representative of ILO organizations for the Somali Youth training and educating the Market Work Surveying, the Ministry of Labor & social Affairs sent some of its staff to attend the training process.

MINISTRY OF LABOR & SOCIAL AFFAIRS OPENED A FOREIGN WORKERS LAW TRAINING FOR UNIVERSITY STUDENTS UNION AND BANADIR REGION JOURNALIST UNION.

This training is the second workshop held by the Ministry which is studying the foreign workers law to Somali Youth for giving some matter relating to the law.

Today’s Training was attended by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs MP Abdiwali Ibrahim Mudey, Deputy Minister of Information Abdullahi Olad Roble, Abdulqadir  Farah (Biriq) expert Journalist and representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Director of Private Sector and Immigrants Omar Hussein Aliyow, Director of Communications and Public Communications Abdirashid Abdullahi Heydar, Director of training Ismail Moalim Abdullahi, Ahmed Doobowo, chairman of the Union of Journalists of Banadir Region and nearly 50 members from the Union of Universities Students and some Somali journalists in their study of foreign workers act which they generally well benefitted of it.

Minister Mudey reasoning about the importance of training, has said:

 

“the job to me first to shake hands, it was the job of the law for foreign workers, and I scored when I saw the truth of the Somali people who doesn’t have the job they can do while a foreign worker is working of it in our country, so I worked to train people to various parts of civil society while we provide others the  foreign workers act, as we have trying our best to carry out our duty on this and we are being required to support your rights in obtaining any kind of jobs first than a foreign worker”.

 

Abdi Daahir who is a tutor which always helps the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to conduct training in mainstream society today as one of the trainers rule proposed by the Department of Labor, along with the Director of Private Sector and Immigrants Omar Hussein Aliyow.

Finally workshops opinion on the bill after the session ended Thursday morning was also approached by the Minister MP Abdiwalli Mudey awarding certificates to the Youth whom took part of the training to keep talking about the act and provide it to others who is not attended to the training.

MINISTRY OF LABOR & SOCIAL AFFAIRS OPENED TRAINING FOR ABOUT 40 MEMBERS FROM BANADIR REGION SOMALI YOUTH UMBRELLA STUDYING FOREIGN WORKERS’ LAW IN MOGADISHU.

 

The training which was held for Banadir Region Youth Umbrella it was collaborated together the Ministry of Labor & Social Affair with SECEPSO organization and it was studying the law of foreign workers and the role of the students regarding the workers’ rights.

The participants of the two days continuing workshop were awarding certificates at the concluding the Seminar and the chairman of the Organization tutor Abdi Dahir giving his words said:

“It is my pleasure that you are here for studying the workers’ rights, there were different seminars that we gave to the different parts of the community as you are the tomorrow rulers  you have to study the laws of the country particularly the workers’ law and their rights”

Cumar Fidig Banadir Region Youth Umbrella Chairman said:

          “The lesson you learned from this training you have to practice it every time and feel your increasing responsibilities for you are the Youth that the country is waiting for it development so that you have to give effort and struggle for it”

At the closing of the seminar also attended members of the Banadir Region sending congratulations to the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs and pointing the efforts showed of studying foreign workers law to different section of the civil society including youth and they urged to make progress of such studies.

Private Sector Employees & Immigrants Director together with the Training Department Director they same fully urged to the youth attended the training to continue learning about the community rules for foreign workers law.

At the end of the course was closed Hassan Ahmed Osman Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs’ Permanent Secretary congratulating to the youth attended the course and said:

          “This training is important for job seekers young who have work to do but given to the foreign workers,  in line with expected benefits ‘brings knowledge to promote employment opportunities are not given to a citizen sensations course knowledge you learned to act and it will help you – the training is closed”

MINISTRY OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL AFFAIRS OPENED A FOREIGN WORKERS’ LAW FOR ABOUT 40 MEMBER FROM THE BANADIR REGION WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION IN MOGADISHU

 

Ministry of Labor & Foreign Affairs has organized Foreign Workers law training for more than 40 members from Banadir Region Women’s Associations in Mogadishu.

The training which has held for the Women’s Associations in Banadir Region is provided a help by “CESEPSO” organization and it was studying the law of the foreign workers and rights of the local workers as well.

Private Sector & Immigrants Departments which is giving more efforts for promoting the study and the understanding of the civil society and the accountability of the foreign workers who are working in the country illegally, Omar Hussain Aliyow Ibrow the Private Sector and Immigrants Director reporting the time that this law was issued and its advantages for the civil society said:

 

“We shall train this law for all Somali Civil Society as we already trained several sections of the people such as Youth, Journalists, University Students Union and now we are training the Women’s Associations in Banadir Region, the chances for foreign workers by getting jobs is declined due to this law because they will have to go with the foreign workers law procedure for the job application process, so that if we practice this law and promote it there will be no way for a foreign worker to get a job while a Somali Citizen has the same job’s knowledge”

  

TRAINING HELD FOR BANADIR REGION WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION BY MINISTRY OF LABOR & FOREIGN AFFAIRS IN MOGADISHU

 

  Ismail Moalim Abdullahi Training Department Director while giving his word according to the law of the foreign worker to the women trainees he said:

 

“this foreign workers law that you had studied will give you more benefits and advantages, so I recommend you to practice it to understand the rights of labor and that which will cause to reduce the chance of getting work for foreign worker”

Concluding the Seminar attended some of the Banadir Region Responsible gave their words about the training such as Mohamed Amin Sh. Elmi Banadir Region Secretary and said:

 

“It gives me a pleasure that the Ministry of Labor & Foreign Affairs gives you the Foreign Workers law it will take a big role of asking foreign workers to our local companies and it will give chance to the local workers the opportunities of getting  the jobs they graduated for, the women are the backbone of the civil society and I wish they will provide their role of promoting the law for getting their rights”

 

Some of the women have managed to open he proposed ideas and concerns and indicate that they have problems of entering government offices and they request to get Identification cards to access them to enter every government office which allows them to get their missing rights and they even asked the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs to stop demanding foreign workers from outside while they are here to have their opportunities of employment and get their citizenship right.
