Department director of Social of The Ministry of labor and Social Affairs Mr. Abdullahi Adan Abdi has today concluded a two-day Advocacy meeting held a Hotel Paradise in Mogadishu.

The Advocacy meeting was organized by the international organization [save children], based on the Somali capital.

First of all, a high-level official such as the child protection Officer Mr. Abdirahman Abdi Wabar told participants that the purpose of this Advocacy meeting is to understand the importance of international children’s rights with different sections (UNCRC and African Charter ACWRC) to analyze the differences between these two laws and to determine the role played by the Somali community and the Somali government.

The delegates participated in the workshop were attended by various civil society organizations and some of the relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education contributed tips and ideas on the laws that introduced them from Save Children.

Finally, the Department director of Social of The Ministry of labor and Social Affairs Mr. Abdullahi Adan Abdi addressed the audience with the participants and the save child custodians asking to collaborate on the future of Somali children.
