A meeting between the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and the World Bank’s consultants was launched at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and directors of Ministry’s department and the consultants of Financial Management Expert from the World Bank Mr.James G. Wachira had meeting at the headquarter of Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

This meeting was the first between the financial management advisor from the World Bank and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and it was all about improving the quality of Government Employees (Capacity injection Development) and mandate of each director.

It was deeply discussed many issue about the ministry’s staff and the way they can be improved their skill   and the directors need more training. Also the directors explained how the functions of their departments are moving on’ its structures and the kind support we want to improve their activities.

Some head department has said that at the conference that the ministry has structure but do not work probably because of the employees do not get salaries every month and it’s the biggest challenges of the ministry.

The World Bank consultants   has requested the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs to submit him the Mandate of every director, he also said” I know there is 130 permanent staffs in the ministry but that is not enough The information we need to know completely information about staff and how many of them are Academic level (degree), do you think that these directors have enough capacity or you need more or less directors”.

Permanent Secretary Hassan Shariif Osman thanked the visitor and he said “we were never given such full information before and I am happy and everyone can participation this discussion.
